The BBC's reporting on Israel and Gaza in particular has been very troubling and the reasons behind this you have set out so well. I guess that if all their on-site journalists had described the truth to us all, then there would be no BBC journalists left on the ground there. However, the handling of information within the newsroom in England is not so easy to accept.
However, to make wholesale criticism and take action against the BBC solves nothing and also misses the main point which Jonathan Pie illustrated so well in his tirade this week. That the BBC is owned by us all means it is held to account and distinguishes it from almost all other media outlets in the UK which are owned by private individuals or companies who have a vested interest in what news is told.
Apart from the news, the complete range of broadcasting it offers is outstanding and the envy of so many abroad. The £170 annual licence fee is the best value imaginable for what it offers across its channels - and without adverts interrupting the programme.
I am so glad that I cancelled my BiBi C TV Licence 10 years ago when they blocked and smeared ALL my Palestinian Activists friends and never looked back even after numerous threatening letters over the year. I kept telling them I cannot identify myself with a Zionist, Biased, lying entity like BiBi C because in Africa we grow up with the Palestinians cause, we read the history of Jews and we know the real history very well not the fake propaganda that the West brainwash the Westerners with. The same thing with Gates of Hell who they kept telling us he’s helping Africa, when we knew that he never did, he was just experimenting his killer jabs in our villages since early 70’s. I had another thought about the resignations - surely it should be the tech guys who also resign, given they must've manually, consciously, and deliberately created the edit. That takes intention, that does (same as so many other instances, like Orgreave, or playing the wrong clip of Corbyn, or Boris Johnson, and so on and so on).
The tech guys especially are the banality of evil ones. We should be told about them.

I suggest the BBC becomes a producer of entertainment programmes for radio, online and TV, which would be funded by and accessed through voluntary public subscription. There would be no news content at all. Thus it would become the The British Entertainment Enterprise or BEE.
I stopped watching BBC news some 15 years ago because I spent too much time shouting at the biased reporting and the last straw was when I had to stop myself from throwing a book at the TV set. I treasure my books and never want to damage them.
