I’m saying that the filter applied to that chart is suspect. “Political” gun violence data from law enforcement can’t possibly be trusted when law enforcement is hopelessly politicized and the author knows it. "I told you so" actually carries no political weight. Politically, it is an admission of failure, more correctly expressed in the words "I knew the truth but failed to persuade others".
So do we need to talk about Tyler Robinson and Charles Kirk at all? Yes, unfortunately we do, because we have to respond to a right wing narrative around the alleged murder, which is being used to set the scene for a persecution of or even a pogrom against the political foes of those who supported Charles Kirk. We must "respond to the narrative". That is, for the sake of the argument we just accept the alleged facts of the right wing narrative and go on to point out the intrinsic flaws of that narrative. If we can do that successfully and if the alleged facts later prove to be wrong, then we have lost nothing.
This is what Jonathan has been doing here. He has been responding to the right wing narrative and pointing to its flaws. All those who weigh in with highly speculative claims are actually undermining his reasoned approach, and the credibility it brings to the left.
By all means speculate privately. By all means search out more evidence. By all means be ready to accept a major alteration in the accepted body of facts. But do that separately from the process employed by Jonathan of responding to and invalidating the right wing narrative.
Some of the author's analysis is quite good, and would apply whether this was a real or fraudulent event. Even basic research looking at the footage of the "shooting" points to the high probability of this being another phony fake show. This would also explain the numerous bizarre aspects of the ensuing narrative - from Patel's strange valhalla take and 33 hour "manhunt," to the bizarre over-the-shoulder video of the grieving widow higlighting her masonic ring, to the confirmed AI-generated eulogy by Trump, to the bloodless carry out to the SUV (and no ambulance onsite), to the impossible narrative regarding the supposed shooter's behavior, to the idiotic emails to his "boyfriend," to a plane taking off 20 minutes later with its transponder off, etc. But what woke me up first was the OBVIOUS SQUIB in the shirt and other anomalies of the supposed shooting.
One obvious thing that has been bothering me is that the supposed shooter of Kirk was on a nearby rooftop. Isn't that the exact same scenario as when Trump was shot? Given that precedent didn't anyone check the roofs nearby? If I had been in charge of security that day that would have been one of the first places I would check. Why didn't that happen?
On the British protests, the people taking part weren't all white nationalist & weren't all Tommy Robinson supporters. It wasn't a left wing or right wing protest.
