Nearly all real journalists in the West now have had the courage to go independent, or at least retain control over their own work. That is not easy as it requires courage and accepting often massive drops in income. The rest can now find themselves in an Orwell novel, shilling and grifting for the worst of humankind; just looked at that utter reptile, Matthew Syed (too clever by half) assassinating Gary Lineker's character for his "antisemitic" tweet and demanding the BBC do something about it. Syed really is an utterly vile emetic.
People like Bowen, John Simpson or Kate Adie et al use their position with mainstream media to be presented/present themselves as likeable, totally honest, virtuous people showing decency and courage in a backdrop of chaos and barbarity. They write books, present programmes and much more on the back of their association with mainstream. The whole thing is a Faustian pact - perhaps Syed is Mephistopheles himself 🤮
The more people turn away from these manufactured personalities and the poison they disseminate, the more one can hope that people increasingly turn to those such as the writer of this piece and realise they are being deliberately deceived and lied to.

Totally agree. Kate Adie is my biggest disappointment as, along with many women, I used to admire her as a strong female voice in the media but sadly (as with many so-called feminists) she, along with Bowen and Simpson, has become just another establishment mouthpiece, which is a double betrayal as anyone would expect women especially to show some empathy when it comes to injustice, blatant lies and genocide in plain sight. Sadly too many women "journalists" lack the ability and courage to report accurately, honestly and with humanity the plight of the Palestinian women and children.
Yes, but when women fought for a voice it is very disappointing to see that too many have sided with male aggression and have NOT added truly feminine values like caring, nurturing and empathy. Of course many men have these values also but they need to be learned, whereas they come naturally to women, or should.
I was so disappointed that after all this time, someone who should be a beacon of ethical journalism should stoop this low. Gees, are you that desperate for work, Jeremy?! Have the courage and decency to say ‘no’ to the puppets at the BBC. Unless of course this is the type of journalism you wish to report on now. Either way, Jeremy has lost all credibility after this last failure.
Even if it’s a case of orders from ownership headquarters, it’s the ethical/moral duty of Western journalists and editors to publicly expose the compromised news-media product and therefor its facilitator(s). By doing so, such brave journalists can at least then also proclaim they will no longer participate in its creation and/or dissemination.
Quite frankly, journalists/editors with genuine integrity should and would tender their resignations and even publicly proclaim they can no longer help propagate their employer’s media product, whether it involves self-censored/missing coverage of an ongoing mass-murderous ethnic-cleansing, a brutally lopsided foreign war, or that of great corporate misconduct that will harm the populace.
