He did not forecast an end of history, he forecast a reversal of history to unbridled banditry, capitalism and strength without restraints, over fragility, science and law.
Humanity was here before....

American dominance of the planet doesn't threaten the planet and its systems that sustain life, America is systematically destroying all of them, in order to sustain kakocracies and designated illegal and criminal actions around the world, starting with its own country.
No country on earth is better off with American dominance.

That pretty much is a netshell of the kind of madness going on. The oligarchs controlling government are sucking money out of it through a spigot, with the compliance of their tools placed in government, in the name of war-war-war, and the death and destruction products that the govt is paying dearly for dont even function properly.
How on earth is this a viable set of goals and processes on which to build an economy and society?
Since the Dem party went neolib, same as similar Anglophoney parties, they are doing all they can for corporate economics. Like NAFTA, the WTO, and deliberately outsourcing mfg thus deeply injuring the majority working class. In the U.S. the Ds also repealed New Deal financial regs which helped cause the GFC. Despite the deep harm, the regs were not revived. Well, who rules, so whose rules?
"Financialization" is extraction from what is known as the real economy. It's parasitical on both workers and companies producing physically real goods and services. Keep in mind stock mkts, unless an IPO, aren't about investing in a company. They're trading; financial speculation, gambling for rich boys. The money generated doesn't go to the company of origin any more than it does when buying a used car. These few, the stockholders, count when justifying the short term actions of corporations and the rest of us, the real producers, don't. In the U.S. the money for stock buybacks comes from mass layoffs. Thereby inflating stock worth and benefitting only CEOs who have this as part of their already outsized compensation along with their Wall St. (and City of London) bankster cronies.
The manipulators are running out of workers with good wages and healthy ecosystems from which to extract profits. But in the short term, with the collusion of their govt allies, wars are highly profitable. In the long run? That's why they're "investing" in megayachts and private islands. After the econ & ecol collapse they figure the survivors will be desperate enough to become neo-serfs for their neo-fiefdoms.
Not to mention AI......which will allow them to control what gets considered 'thought', and do surveillance on the minority of us who actually know how to think and the limits of data.
Fully described in Yanis Varoufakis's 2023 book /Technofeudalism./ Wherein he describes their many low paid employees as 'technoproles' and close to entire rest of the world as 'technoserfs' who provide for free the endless tons of data by which the techno lords reap their billions.
The classic, and perennial play-book ran so many times on the Common Man : bleed you as slowly as possible, and take all your shit in the process : Blut-Geld. And, yes, as the common Man is finally awakening to whom these "shadowy" entities Truly are, they're becoming nervous.
It's almost a "natural", self-recycling ecosystem that has endured for millennia, far beyond known memory (largely stolen, destroyed, re-written and falsified so many times it's almost unknowable).
It's a steady, incremental Process, taken in nibbles at a time ; slowly, generationally, without any more than an occasional bump in the path , quickly swept from the path and buried under falsehoods-and they *know* that we *know* them now ; therefore, the entire annihilation of all of it, them in their "bolt-holes", deep underground and in low-earth orbit, waiting til the dust settles-maybe a century or two, who cares? Slow and steady patience, awaiting the time to re-emerge as the "gods" and masters of the unknowing and beastly survivors' descendants, to begin the cycle for the thousandth time.
An endless cycle that Common Man is trapped in, yet again...until Common Man awakens and does what must ultimately be done-FINALLY!-and forever, this time around : vaporize them, all of them..."Down to the last frozen embryo"!!

This sounds a bit like a conspiracy fiction aka Star Wars from a version of reality that imagines an immortal Evil, forever feasting on human flesh.
I think the truth is a bit more prosaic. We are all implicated in a culture based on colonialism, imperialism, war and the enslavement/theft of 'the others' resources and wealth.
We all have to choose new pathways.......find each other, and imagine a world that is sustainable, equalitarian, anti-racist and fully human. Already, in many places, world domination and war is being challenged........fossil fuels/fools being seen as the extinction technologies they are.........and realignments with the natural world happening.
We have to stop imagining the musks of the world as super powerful.......find ways to collaborate and support alternatives wherever they appear.
Death cults aren't that powerful. They are just very scary.
