"Criticism of Israel, which is Right and Just, was not created in a vacuum. The slaughter based upon lies has been on-going for over 125 years. Israel the land is the creation of the West, and supports it, with blood."

Why am I unable to read this post??? My eyes and brain are faster than most mouths........and I have a life. As to Starmer???

Without knowing many details, anyone who would have preferred him over Jeremy Corbyn hasn't been paying attention......and likely has no intention to do so going forward.

Starmer is neoliberal's man, neoliberalism in decline, a system of white fascists in suits so expensive we think they're winners..........how they took out Jeremy is a story I'd like to read. Though I'm pretty sure it had a lot to do with his refusal to back the genocidal state of Israel.......

And the entitled western elites all too comfortable with ethnic cleansing to feel the need to mention that genocide.

Sadly I’d heard bits and pieces about Starver before the election and wasn’t expecting much. Also deeply gutted as to what happened to Corbyn. When KS started cleaning house and stabbing back the situation became rapidly untenable. I don’t believe a word he says. And to equate criticism of him with backing Farage is ridiculous. Yes Farage would be much worse , that would be dying from poison rather than slowly strangled.

The sad truth may be that the current spate of neoliberal 'leaders' are exactly what is fueling the far right. When you ignore the working class, those folks who actually get things done in a country........it's a recipe for a rising right.

Let's face it. Our elites demonized the wrong ideas. Socialism became their boogeyman.......low taxes, 0 regulation, and privatization guarantees a growing underclass. You simply can't create more billionaires AND serve the public on a finite planet.

Eventually, the people turn to extreme solutions.

How bout: [STARMER] "I am, and always have been, a Liar for Hire."

IMHO, not even worth the discussion. Mandelson was appointed because of who and what he was, irrespective of vetting.

those of us with half a brain have known from the start what a charlaton starmer is and was. his sabotage of corbyn began with the chicken coup (in spite of that he was put on the front bench when he returned). his lies were so obvious when he graciously accepted leadership as corbyn stood down. it didn't take long for his 'ten pledges' to keep the labour party 'labour' were exposed. nobody with a thinking mind would have voted labour once he was made leader. nothing else worth saying except labour is dead.

Ingamarie's avatar

Labour is seldom dead for long. You can't run a country with Data Centres, given that there is no such thing as 'artificial intelligence'........those machines calculate, very fast. They don't do a lick of real work.

You need labour for that.

Sorry to see Mr Cook has joined the ‘let’s get rid of Starmer and have Farage instead’ brigade.

Starmer, Farage, Badenoch et al are capitalist playthings. The Labour front bench is littered with nouveau riche millionaires. Democracy died in the West decades ago.

Why are you giving up so easily??? Iran isn't.

Check who owns 78% of Western big business, check who owns 82% of Western news media. BlackRock, StateStreet and Vanguard have control of 24,000 Western corporations. These 3 outfits support the 'Greater Israel Project'. UK's Sky news is owned by Brian L Roberts, a Zionist billionaire residing in Philadelphia. The BBC have been caught red handed supporting the genocide of 40,000 Semitic children under 9 years of age. Shall I go on?

Ingamarie's avatar

For sure. I'm Canadian and don't have these details. But I'm not surprised. I have two degrees, brains enough to have seen decades ago where neoliberalism was headed.

As I often say 'fascists in expensive suits' convinced the west of an idea that can't really be called an idea..........that low taxes, no regulations and privatization would make us all rich.

I never fell for it. I just had no idea genocide would become such a 'wealth creation' move for a tiny colony in the Middle East....or that the people we were taught to hate would end up our heroes going forward.

I was born exactly one year after Hitler became Chancellor. My father worked at the British Mandate office in Palestine. He saw the invasion (his words) by the Europeans, the Nakba and the establishment of the Apartheid regime which continues today. His own diary entry: "These European Jews use Judaism as a tool, not a religion, they assume a Semitic identity despite not being remotely Semitic, this will end badly".

Ingamarie's avatar

If we lived in a world that listened to the people like your father......often saying the obvious......we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.

It's unrestricted capitalism we should have been suspicious of...not the socialism that argued we were all deserving of care.

But the west seems to need enemies. It gets us up in the morning.

I think that is certainly not the case! Proper journalists highlight bad practice where they see it. That’s what Jonathan has done here.
