Good piece Jonathan you could have entitled policing dissent. When government policy is so far out of step with public opinion, the police find themselves in the middle. Every Jewish citizen or visitor in Britain deserves to feel safe and secure. Every British citizen deserves the right to protest about the actions of other governments when they are manifestly unfair or illegal under international law or common morality. These two rights are separate and should not impinge on each other. I was struck by the vision that one day there will be a statue in Parliament Square of an old person sitting on the ground holding a placard.

Spot on Jonathan. I have to keep telling myself that this twilight world that we're living in is actually real 😭. So much falsehood and gas lighting it's bloody sickening 🤢🤮

should the pro Palestinians protests be stopped? hasn't the British police proved to us that they are antisemitic by killing one and injuring another jew? why should the activists be stopped because of an act committed by the police? are they going to be charged with antisemitism?

Are we in this land of Conquerors and Rulers nowadays able to become engaged in a peoples' struggle against our own government? Or have we withdrawn, cowed, abdicated from a burgeoning police-state-in-disguise and adopted an uncaring laisser-faire attitude to the rest of the World whilst it fritters away it's values and objectives, feigning a belief that the UNO will protect preserve and defend us against evil?
