It's a special challenge now to keep up on world news without ANY perusal of the execrable MSM. This site is one choice. Also, there's Lockdown Times [Jeffery Strahl] a clear-thinking US news digest, which keeps me up to speed on a wide array of horrendous topics, beyond even what the BBC mavens are fiendishly responsible for, per Mr Cook's article.

It should be understand that by now, the only "news reporting" permitted from on the ground inside Israel, is carefully censored propanda and/or deliberate misinformation

Reading this article can help readers understand just how extensive the blanket the Israelis have laid over any truth coming out from there:

https://scheerpost.com/2025/06/25/giving-information-to-the-enemy-israels-ban-on-al-jazeera-extends-to-foreign-broadcasters/

What is also means, is if the BBC reports anything from that territory, it is duty bound to preface this by explaining this concent to the public. It must be prefaced with a disclaimer, and an note that the Israeli regime is found by the ICC and ICJ to be likely currently in the process of committing massive crimes against humanity, and that itse censorship regime is a party to this plauisble crime.

But no such disclosures are made by the BBC, while passing though the propaganda of the criminal israeli regime.

Everyone should cancel their TV license. Shut this dinosaur down. It takes two seconds online. Come on folks! It’s a small price to pay and actually a huge saving.

The BBC has never been, and still is not, impartial as we have seen over the years and even more recently regarding the genocide in GAZA. It makes a pretense that it is but the very language used in news reports shows it is subliminally trying to confuse the licence payers and others that Israel is not as bad as they seem. I have on many occasions emailed complaints on this subject even pointing out that a photo they used and described wrongly which they took down. The only complaint upheld because they couldn't possibly deny the evidence. They should know better than anyone to do research and not take Israel at face value as they are known to lie as we see with the constant interviews with the Israeli Ambassador to the UK. WE are sick of this toadying to the Israeli lobby and I for one prefer my news channels to be Channel 4 News and Al Jazeera UK.

To use a Trumpian slander, “crooked media” ... Mainstream news-outlet integrity has largely gone out the window, including/especially that of Canada’s extremist National Post and Toronto Sun newspapers.

One would really have to read it to believe it, especially since the initial (10/7) Hamas attack against Israel. It epitomizes an extreme example of an echo chamber promoting unconditional 110% support for the Israeli state, including its very-long-practiced cruelty towards the Palestinian people.

As but one example, shortly after 10/7, a single-column story in The National Post about a five-year-old American-Palestinian boy who was stabbed to death by the landlord of the U.S. residence in which he and his mother lived simply for being of Palestinian heritage was placed on page 5, while placed up high on the front page was a large photo (which accompanied a much larger story) with three Israeli teenage girls crying after their friends or family were kidnapped by Hamas gunmen.

Even the more progressive outlets like Canada's other national newspaper, The Globe and Mail — progressive in regard to basically following “woke” ideology: that of race, sexuality, gender, gender-bending and unrestricted abortion access — can be more deceptive with its essentially pro-Israel coverage and op/ed writing since 10/7. There seems to have been an attempt at appearing objective on this topic when it actually is not. At best, those news-media have been editorially emasculated thus negligent.

Though the emasculation may be due to 'orders from ownership headquarters', it's still the ethical/moral duty of Western journalists and editors to publicly expose the compromised news-media product and therefor its facilitator(s). By doing so, such brave journalists can at least then also proclaim they will no longer participate in its creation and/or dissemination.

Quite frankly, journalists/editors with genuine integrity should and would tender their resignations and even publicly proclaim they can no longer help propagate their employer’s media product, whether it involves self-censored/missing coverage of an ongoing mass-murderous ethnic-cleansing, a brutally lopsided foreign war, or that of great corporate misconduct that will harm the populace.

Over decades, I’ve heard of too many cases of employees not standing up and doing what is necessary for the public and/or human(e) good, instead excusing themselves with something like: ‘I need this job — I have a family to support’. I’m afraid that — unless, of course, they were actually forced into coupling, copulating and procreating however many years before — such familial obligation status does not actually ethically or morally justify their willing involvement.

The CJPME group, based in canada, has a Media Accountibility Project as part of their activities, in which those outraged by media anti-arab racism can letterwrite to the abovementioned newspapers to protest. Hundreds are already involved in this, with some retractions and dropping of false language from the state media of canada thus far. Just go to CJPME.org to get involved. It's well organized, and made doable for any outraged citizen.

We should also be writing to demand (yes, we are forced to pay for the BBC) a response to the report and the action (e.g the sacking of members of the Middle East editorial team) they are taking. I have been writing to complain for two years now and all I get in response is a generic message form HQ that insists that the BBC is providing appropriate coverage.

I have just written to the BBC after they said they will not show the documentary GAZA: DOCTORS UNDER SIEGE because it would look as if the BBC is not impartial in the conflict. Rubbish the BBC is blatantly Pro Israel. The public must insist that we have the right to see it. How dare the BBC censor our viewing yet again.
