Your article reminded my of Yahia Lababidi's poem "Ceasefire" --- "What a bloodthirsty world ... / when calling for ceasefire / is considered controversial ...". (Palestinian Wail, Daraja Press, 2024, p.16).
I gave up on the Guardian in 2020 due to their coverage of the so-called 'Pandemic'. They fell in line with all the other propaganda newspapers. Didn't question anything real, nor gave voice to any scientists who had a differing view (and there were many of them). What makes The Guardian's actions even more shameful is their claim to impartiality (not being 'owned' by a billionaire) -- it's like, as a soul-searching teenager, you put your trust in some religion, only to get shafted. The Guardian is just part of the controlled opposition.
The scale of the genocide is overwhelming as is the complicity of multiple news agencies. We must never allow the whitewashing of the genocide to go unchallenged. As with the Nazi atrocities, no one can be allowed in the future to say ‘we didn’t know what the perpetrators were doing’.
The whole well of Western media has become poisoned. The thirsty for information would be wise to avoid it, even as their mouth dries.
Thankfully we still have journalists of integrity, such as Jonathan, Chris Hedges et al. These professionals report the news, not engage in mental gymnastics to convince us black is blue.
For me, even taking an ironic look at front pages or TV evening news has the same effect you get whilst watching advertising after smoking weed - you can't believe anyone would fall for such utter manipulation.

The MSM fills up the communicational space with trivia and the barbarity of the Russian invasion of Ukraine spiced with a rich supply of adjectives. The ICJ hearings on Gaza only are mentioned when Israel or the US challenge their validity. INternational legality is no longer invoked.
There are increasing examples of a more aggressive militancy. A few days ago a teachers union leader was being interviewed about a possible strike on the BBC's Today and suddenly, out of the blue, Nick Robinson shoots at him: "Do you support Hamas"?
It looks as Israel and the West see this period as entering the final stage in a successful project to subvert the world order and establish a new supremacist order ruled by military violence, extermination and brutal censorship. It's like Hitler's dream coming true.
A review of book about the Irish potato famine and the British elite's attitude in 1845-52 sure sounds like what is happening now. The book is //Ireland's Greatest Tragedy// (2013) by Tim Pat Coogan and the review is from the Boston Globe newspaper.

It is necessary these days to ask , before reading such an article in the MSM , WHO is the writer supporting or attempting to clear of wrongdoing ? From the beginning Israel’s comments , or those of governments supporting Israel , make a perfect curriculum for a critical thinking course . Readers can no longer expect to be gathering Information , more likely propaganda or suppression of facts.

Those who direct any aspect of genocidal crimes must be isolated from the population by the refusal to believe, serve, respect or fear them.
