Meh

humans as a whole are nazis…

We claim to be better but we exist in a constant state of selective morality.

And beneficial genocide

…its worked great for us so far right ✅️

It's notable how power uses words as labels. 'Palestine' automatically stacks power's deck, with the term's proscribed 'terrorist' connotations. Police buttress their aggressions this way, utilizing highly successful Dumbing Down programs, long extant in the first world and elsewhere. Such police behavior has been normalized. The officers don't even know that they're fascists.

You were stopped because you were driving whilst opposing genocide.

Ask your MP for an answer.

He or she is part of the parliament that is targeting you.

Jonathan must have been left trembling after such an encounter. Such an innocent encounter.

I once met a medium who, within a minute of entering my home, had identified three spirits that guard me throughout my life. "Oh, yes?" I said, "And who are these three spirits?" He replied that one is unknown, one is my uncle and one is my mother. "My mother?" I asked. "How do you know she is my mother?" It is not dissimilar to a police officer, not asking you who you are, but telling you that you're Mr Cook. The medium wheeled 90 degrees to a wall festooned with photos of family and friends, and directed his finger unerringly at one particular image. "That is your mother, is it not?" It was indeed.

How the medium knew these things is beyond my, and perhaps your, comprehension. It's more or less how the policeman in Mr Cook's case knew these things: because he had the means to know them. The medium was under no more a duty to tell me how his knowledge came about than the cop did to tell Mr Cook. But, in both cases, I imagine, the interlocutor from there on in had our attention.

After Orgreave (https://endlesschain.substack.com/p/theres-no-such-thing-as-a-free-lunch), The Guardian wrote this: "In this country we now have a standing army available to be deployed against gatherings of civilians whose congregation is disliked by senior police officers. It is answerable to no one."

It is answerable to no one. Police officers are answerable, that much is clear. Wayne Couzens made it so. If a police officer abducts, rapes, murders and attempts to burn the remains of another person, he will be answerable. There is therefore one crime for which the police are answerable, so let it not be said that they lack answerability. But that is answerability for acts they commit. Not for accusations they make of acts that others commit.

For the crimes of which the ordinary member of the public may come to be accused, the misdemeanours and recalcitrances to which the police may state they have been witness, by way of falsehood and fabrication, the manifestations of a corporate mentality that tends more to that of a board room or mafia than to the high calling of self-sacrifice that is the foundation of police service, the very best outcome that the accused may hope for is acquittal. Acquittal, that is, by a judge who is far-seeing enough, and prescient enough and themselves upstanding and high-minded enough to recognise a danger to society when they see it, and thus to dismiss its lies.

Might be worth making a complaint - or at the v. least a FOI request? You're entitled to know the actual reason why they pulled you over rather than 'cross-border check' - not as if the car's even registered in Wales after all!

Seems fairly straightforward to make a FOI request online so why not give it a go?

Hmmm, I have been vociferous in opposing Israel's illegal actions towards the Palestinian people for around 50 years now. I await my police stop in anticipation. It could be very interesting seeing as people are being hospitalised due to attacks and muggings in broad daylight with often little done about it by police.. Too busy harassing people peacefully protesting or having an opinion online that doesn't fit in with the Governments Zionist narratives. Thanks for enlightening us so we can be prepared.

Just a nice, cheery reminder that associating with the wrong sort upsets the proper authorities. Since your skin colour and accent are appropriate and nothing observed required an immediate response, we determined there is no need for further police actions at this time. Next time we may not be quite as accommodating, however. Bear in mind we know who you are.

You are, presumably, being constantly tracked, which is, yet again, a sign of the growing lack of democracy in the UK. At a coffee shop with a bunch of friends yesterday, I discovered that most people in my group thought that Britain was becoming increasingly undemocratic. In fact, two people said that they thought Britain was not democratic at all.

Driving while being a person with a conscience who opposes genocide... It's a charge that's coming soon. No doubt about it.

Be safe everyone. #FreePalestine

That's creepy. I know that it won't put you off writing the truth, though, Jonathan.

Eventually, the material content of ‘terrorist’ will settle in the general domain of ‘having a mind of one’s own.’

Or, perhaps ’refusing to live a second-hand life, tailored to the interests of the ruling class.’

Your experience is chilling and seems to be niggling in your mind, understandably. Add to that the fact that many police get their 'facts' wrong, but will argue that they can't be wrong, and some police have immoveable bias; there's very good reason to treat the episode with caution and try to protect yourself.

Uncovered: How UK Police Are Hiding Their Palantir Work

June 27, 2025

"...Palantir also holds contracts with almost a dozen UK police forces—but the nature of this work remains shrouded in secrecy.

We’ve found that a dedicated policing unit is systematically instructing forces to withhold information about Palantir and its controversial technology.

Numerous Freedom of Information requests about Palantir contracts have been referred to the National Police Chiefs’ Council’s Central Referral Unit (CRU)—a secretive team previously linked to blocking information requests.

Documents we’ve obtained reveal that the CRU advised police forces to issue an “NCND”—a refusal to “neither confirm nor deny” any information “that may or may not be held in relation to Palantir software used for covert purposes.” In other words: say nothing, regardless.

And all this despite a policing ‘covenant’ that promises that “all use of AI will be subject to ‘maximum transparency by default’”...."

Thanks for the links. Two important articles, particularly the detailed LIBERTY INVESTIGATES report.

I don't know how to do links but, re the UTTERLY UNTRUSTWORTHY committed enemy of democracy PETER THIEL, do read this at COMMON DREAMS (commondreams.org)...

The Dark Enlightenment: the Tech Oligarch Ideology Driving DOGE's Destruction, by Thom Hartmann, March 23, 2025

'...A radical ideology known as the Dark Enlightenment is fueling a billionaire-led movement to gut our government, erase democratic norms, and install a technocratic elite in their place...'

It's not a joke. It's not a conspiracy fantasy.
