There is such a path, it is decentralized, it puts workers on the same page as small business owners. It removes taxes from both labor and needed production and shifts the tax base to the unearned income (Adam Smith) which is same as surplus value (Karl Marx) of surface land, minerals, even geo-orbital zones and all other natural resources / gifts of nature.
You rightly point out The Social Dilemma seemed to confine its criticism of social media as facilitators of echo chambers full of fake news while ignoring the online world's more important - more impactful - access to non-fake news, like exposing deep state hypocrisy, auditing dirty politicians, connecting people to legitimate dissenting voices, etc. I don't think this omission was accidental. Tristan Harris is deep state himself so I figure his film was more about bringing big tech to heel, as part of the ruling elite evolving mass surveillance into mass enforcement.
