The US and UK have been in a slow war with Europe for decades. I've always felt the UK role was to damage the EU - at the front end with the expansion agenda to align more firmly with NATO. I assume the plan was to damage on departure as well, although that may have misfired for the UK.

But this is a direct and undeniable declaration of open hostility with a massive impact on economies and people's livelihood, it's hard to see the status quo continuing for long. There already seems to be a lot of popular dissent in southern Europe.

I respect your insight of international politics and agree with you that Europe should turn their heads around and recognise where the global problems really lie. The next US elections may expose the truth of a system that has become beyond corruption.

✅ so last week I couldn’t sleep thinking we’re all going to die, Russia must respond to the petulant US childlike acts & tantrums. But guess what? Russia and China can simply work with the rest of the world & ignor us ,

They’ve seen it before. ’ been there done that seen that‘. Then I was worried that the schoolyard bully, the US of A would be the ones to annihilate everything. And an inspirational thought came to me, that our rulers, The capitalistic world oligarchs will not let them devastate the earth because there’d be nobody to trample on and sell things to & to an exploit. So well be OK and the eternal battle goes on…

I don't believe it is correct to say that methane is the prime climate offender. True, it can absorb and re-radiate a much greater amount of heat than CO2 - per molecule - but it is quite rapidly oxidized in the upper atmosphere to... CO2, and it is CO2, remaining in the atmosphere for many years, that does the long-term damage.

OK... two questions. (I'm assuming there's a batch of smarty pants types reading this blog)...

1. I'm sure I've read in other places that the pipeline(s? I thot it was only 1) that were zorched really didn't play a significant role in Europe's energy supplies; in fact, I thought they were not delivering any gas. If that's the case, is this just a signal rather than a crippling of Europe's energy supplies?

2. This one's thornier, and I'd appreciated links. In other words, just point me in the right direction b/c I've been drawing blanks:

What the hell is behind the USA's antipathy towards Russia? I mean, just back in '12 didn't Obama say to Romney that Russia proposes no threat the US interests? What the hellin' hell changed? I mean, did Russiagate break brains THIS badly? I'm serious: this antipathy towards Russia baffles me.

Thanks Johnathan for the continued exposure of the Truth! I can see that if the German Peoples had gone so far as to make some arrangements with Russia this would have been such a thorn in the side of these Criminals in the US that they may actually have attacked them! They are the worst murdering bastards on the planet after all!

Of course the US and/or its vassals did it. Everyone knows this. But after Radek Sikorski got told to shut up for saying the quiet part out loud, nobody of influence and authority dares say what everyone already knows.
