Oh Lord! Oh People! We must prevent the death of true journalism. Thanks as usual JC.

There is a similar procedure for opposition politicians. They're sold as the devil to the voters, but when they die they're reframed as dutiful and hounourable. That hypocrisy is to be expected, is the nature of politics, but when devils compliment a whisteblower its offensive.

Brilliantly written as always, thank you. What is being done to Assange shows the extreme perfidy of the Demopublicans and the corporate media. We are being governed and lied to by morally bankrupt criminals. Woe is us!

Clear and precise as always. I am afraid the United States of Criminals is to far gone to ever be stopped from such criminal activities. This has become the norm for this filth. The democrats are even worse than the Republicans in this type of treatment. Look what they have done to the proof Matt Taibbi gave. Same old story "Don't look at the crimes or the criminals committing them", look at the person who showed the corruption! They do everything to distract and malign. The whole administration should be put up for treason for the damage they have done to this country and others such as control of UK justice over Assange!

The press is now owned by by the same mega-conglomerate that owns the weapons industry as well as all of the cornerstone industries of the western world. It is easy to demonstrate this by doing a web search. Stockzoa is a very useful source of information.

The video below describes what you will find.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2t4u_tEefM I have checked this out, and it is true.

Add to this the fact that most government agencies are corporately captured, the will of the corporations is easily imposed on the media as well as the courts.

According to Chomsky, a democracy cannot coexist with large concentrations of wealth. The corporations of Vanguard and BlackRock are major owners of nearly everything. If they aren't the major stockholders, they are major stakeholders in the companies that do own them.

It is a tangled web of corporate ownership, that owns the media, that is ignoring Assange. The courts, that are crucifying him, are very subject to corporate pressure. The situation of corporate takeover was not nearly as advanced as it is today.

This and the fact that government officials go in and out of the media like burgers in a hamburger joint! Cushy jobs for all the mouthpieces of corruption!

Thank you as always for this meticulously researched article and for the glaring references to Ukraine for which no analysis no challenges no questions are allowed One particular irony comes from the pen of the Sunday Mail by one Peter Hitchins, not a fan of Assaange but sufficiently informed to write 'There is still time for us to do right and save Assange from dying in a US dungeon' 'from the MSM nothing and from the Guardian a greater more shameful silence given that this paper published the information leaked by Assange and two of the reporters ignored his careful references to material that should be redacted and likewise benefited. For those interested the whole shabby process of betrayal abandonment of due legsl proces and total submission to the demands of the US can be found but one fears it will be for another generation to reveal the unedifying truth

Great read Johnathan,

I hope we take this kangaroo court to the streets and into the courthouse.
