You make a fair and well reasoned point. It is absurd to lump billions together under the category of 'terrorist'. The truth of the matter is, and it's been shown day after day in the words and actions of many Muslim leaders and Muslims, the plain barefaced truth is: the terrorised do not fit that trope.
Anyone can see they are in fact humane, reasonable and led by the belief we will all be judged by God and only God. You don't need to be even remotely religious to understand the terrorised will fight for their freedom whenever it is denied and denied and denied, but not through extreme acts, and most certainly not through the use of the barbaric inhumane acts we have seen far too often from their oppressors - the real terrorists.
The resistance fighters from Yemen, and Iran have targeted only the means to sustain war. They have purposefully avoided harming significantly civilians and infrastructure.
They have shown this trope to be exactly that - a racist lie.
That's not a response to my point. No one also wants to be endlessly oppressed.
