To be honest this interpretion of the evolution of Israel toward fascism has not been my take of current politics there. My thoughts were that current politics was a clash between6⁵ ultaconcervative/fascist state vs a more understanding toward Palestinian liberal state. It's not remotely in my power to effect their evolution but at least now I'll consider your position of civil war against 2 positions seeking power both at the expense of persecution of Palestinians. They say democracy is like making sausage. I thought Palestinian rights was an ingredient in this evolving sausage making but your article has dissuaded me from taking that position.

Brilliantly interpreted Jonathan. This article should be widely circulated to all Western governments and western media outlets. Their days are numbered as far as supporting Israel is concerned. It is only a matter of time.

An interesting, original view of what is happening in Israel which I have never come across. Thanks for sharing this way of analyzing what is happening.

An interesting, and really quite scary analysis. From what you say Jonathan, it seems as if the only conclusion to this is one that will destroy the ‘state of Israel’ - which isn’t a bad thing, given its appalling, murderous behaviour. However justified this eventual collapse might be, it’s going to be very ugly and bloody. No ‘israeli’ of any description will readily give up what they believe to be their homeland. As ever, even more unfortunate Palestinian people will perish: some by the deliberate action of the occupiers and some as collateral damage. Years of disillusionment with the ineffectual international community lead me to worry that the Palestinian voice will again be ignored in this final process. But, who knows? It’s going to be an interesting few years.

Excellent piece Mr. Cook... One hopes you are not sent to Coventry as so many others have been in the UK for honest reporting or opinion. The majority of the UK Jewish community and those of the US are Ashkenazi... The overlap of policy as to 'Khazaria' also seems evident at this time. Interesting times, that is certain.

How refreshing to read the real story of Israel as told by Jonathan Cook.

It's shocking to find that the Christian West will support Israel, their creation, no matter what the facts are and refuse to accept the Palestinians as equals and treat them with respect.
