Read the work of Rabea Eghbariah on Nakba as a legal concept to improve the ability of the legal system to see truly what is going on! https://static.al2.in/toward-nakba-as-a-legal-concept.pdf

There is only one law in modern warfare. You don’t get weapons if they aren’t paid for.

For a long time I've been confused by the concept of "rules of warfare", and this is because the nature of war is that all rules are suspended at the violator's convenience.

I've thought long and hard on what the conventions governing warfare are actually trying to do. It's laudable, in the sense that the Magna Carta was a laudable step toward decentralization of power. But the very nature of warfare, which is simply a test of power, make it a bit of a conundrum to suppose that whatever the rules are, they'll be adhered to and enforced by which ever side has the power to win. The outcome of the power contest will determine those rules that are enforced (if any) and those that are ignored.

It's the nature of reality and a tough one for many to accept because it offends the morality of the common man, which is not the same morality as that of the wielders of power.

Dear Mr. Cook,

THANKS FOR YOUR WORK! I am so thankful that I found you.

As I am sure you know, the US Congress has invited Netanyahu

to address the Congress. I still remember 2011 & 2015, when

he spoke and received very long standing ovations. Some members

of Congress suggested that he would be so much better for the USA

than Obama! C-SPAN has a record of these events. I forwarded that

information to some of my Facebook partners.

My family lives in Germany. Are your articles available in German?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Both have been ignoring them with impunity for decades. See Iraq, Libya, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Syria.

*Hundreds more, many of them women and children".

Reads as tough some ontological attribute shared by the 2 classes of humans wasn't in men as well, making the woe and violence suffered from the former of higher meaning.

I can't say that it's pleasant to run into this apex discrimination and injustice as often as it happens in columns and ops that are marked by a concern for morality and justice. That such concern is, usually and mostly, in good faith, adds to the spiritual dissonance and distaste.

If you see the pain of someone else as worthy of more worry than someone else's on account of primary and secondary sexual characteristics, you need new "eye-glasses", and I need to no longer read you.

That said; no harm no foul.

We knew about all this 20 years ago. The entire history of the empire.

War gives America meaning. So does it for Israel. End of Story.

Your article made me weep that humanity has come to this.

2 states, the USA, and Israel, ignoring the ICC. Both are out of control. And I fear, not only for Gaza but also for the world if they are not stopped.

Biden, Blinken and the rest of the Biden Administration's warmongers frequently talk about the need for "the Rule of Law'; and make a point of using supposed violations of that fictional 'Rules Based Order' (which, of course, simply means the orders that come from the Washington & Wall Street-centered Empire), as justification for conducting warfare - economic and military war-by-proxy against Russia, China and other supposed 'violators' of the Empire's dictates. Yet here they are, boldly giving the finger to the only legitimate international judiciaries, and threatening to go after them for their having ruled against Netanyahu and the Israeli genocide.

So much for their respect for the rule of law. So much for their pretensions to stand for democracy. No.... they are hypocrites and liars who arrogantly imply that only might makes right.

Better they get RID of war. I'm ready for that.

according to our daughter bryarly, macron is abrogated everywhere throughout the french alps electorate, yet he can still muscle his way into the seedy backrooms of french politics b/c his minders need his pretty, innocent-looking, boyish face to sell their genocide-slaughtering weapons. something must be awry w/ his psyche, given he married a plastic, multi-face-lifted doll who is old enough to be his mother, and in fact started a clandestine affair w/ her when she was his married teacher, w/ bantlings no less, and he was but a teenager himself. is this in fact true? can it be verified?

This puts Biden in a conundrum:

"would target prosecutor Karim Khan and others involved in the investigation."

Amal Clooney, George's wife was involved in the decision to arrest Netanyahu. The Clooneys are holding a fundraiser for Biden in June. And they have lots of friends and donate and support Biden. What will they do if Biden sanctions Amal?

It is very sad that it has taken the deaths of many thousands of children to wake up the citizens of Europe and the US to realise that their leaders are corrupt and incompetent to a hitherto unimagined degree. People have always moaned about their governments, but really in the same way as the weather - it's just life. People used to get that by and large politicians are trying, and there was generally no malice behind their actions, they could not satisfy all the people all the time, so compromise was made and we carried on, rain or shine. But the support for the Ukraine war and of Israel has revealed them to be far more cynical, out of their depth, venal, disingenuous and unsympathetic than we ever thought possible.

We now know that the way our politicians are selected and funded, and the way their parties are self serving to an utterly despicable level, and their seeming disregard for people, mean that the entire structure of governance is suspect, and urgently in need of radical overhaul. The problem is that changing it is like trying to dislodge a 20 ton fatberg of grease, shit and toilet paper stuck in a sewer armed with only a couple of tea spoons.

Yep. People should have known that aft Bush invaded Iraq on false pretenses. Others after what we did to Vietnam.

The only way to fix this is to get money out of politics. And no more career politicians that get rich off of insider trading.

If we can get through this incredibly dangerous period, I think Israel and its enablers in other countries are going to face charges of war crimes, and will be prosecuted.

Wa££ $tr€€t and the City of £ondon are going down their own debt-trapdoor: but like Adolf in his bunKKKer, who took an 'unworthy' Germany into pu£veri$ation and thralldom rather than sue for terms, they have already nailed their card to the door :- you're either with U$ or against U$.

Its an ugly choice, and an uglier truth from where I'm sitting.

There is no red line for Biden. The tragedy is that there’s no red line for the millions of soulless and ignorant Biden and Trump voters.

If ever we needed to get behind a third or fourth anti-war party it’s now. We have to start and sustain an antiwar movement.

Just saw a gal that has been horrified by what Biden is doing saying that even though she is angry with him she will vote for him anyway.

Obama killed the anti war left that rose up during Bush. Once Obama contacted his wars they said that it was okay.
