WaPo: "court has no business holding 'elected leaders of a democratic country' to account..." If the situation weren't so horrific, this would be prime dark humor.

WHAT 'democracy'?! Usurpation of Dem/Lib/Labour parties by neolibs started in the late '70s, probably related to the '71 Powell Memo. They now represent only the ~20% admin and professional upper middle class. People useful to the 1%ers and corporations since as bureaucrats, they keep the system running. An egregious example being the process by which Harris was nominated. Not even the pretense of participation by us lessers.
Then add the horrific twist of a Dem party allied with neocons. Dedicated to their tunnel vision of a unipolar empire, obsessed with holding power no matter the cost. (Never mind no funds for domestic needs, never mind the threat to all life on Earth.) Their throwback either/or reasoning denies the post-Einstein realities of relativity, uncertainty, and multiplicities. For neocons, it's with us or against us. Good or evil. True or false--and whatever they say is true IS true, period. Therefore any opposition must be lying, evil enemies.
And with massive numbers of armaments and military power, who dares say no to their WMD blackmail? Never mind the illusions of empires were exploded over a century ago in WWI. Never mind the U.S. hasn't actually won any of the many invasive wars to take something from locals. Never mind that given all of the above, the clumsy justification of 'bringing democracy' is laughable.
